Hello,
I have a RedHat 9.0 system with which I am having some display
problems. When I boot it up and it tries to launch the gui I get the
below error:

* ddcprobe returned bogus values:
ID: None
Name: None
HorizSync: None
VertSync: None

I also get this when trying to launch redhat-config-xfree86.
My XFree86 version is 4.3.0. Here is part of my XF86Config as I don't
not at this time have access to the internet on the probelmatic pc to
get the whole file:

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Monitor0"
        VendorName "Monitor Vendor"
        ModelName "Unprobed Monitor"
        HorizSync 31.5 - 37.9
        VertRefresh 50.0 - 70.0
        Option "dpms"
EndSection

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Videocard0"
        Driver "vga"
        VendorName "Videocard vendor"
        BoardName "Cirrus Logic GD754x (laptop)"
EndSection

The XFree86.0.log log looks like there is problems setting the
resolution. It has a bunch of messages saying
(II) VGA(0): Not using defualt mode "640x350" (insufficient memory for
mode)

"" "320x175" (vrefresh out of range)
"" "360x200' (hsync out of range)

I'm wondering if I need to reconfigure the Monitor section of my
XF86Config file. Please let me know if you can offer any assistance
with this problem or if more info is needed.
Thanks,

Chris.
