Hi Toninho, In my test, MSVC9 is a lot faster than BCC 6.10.
BTW, can you please make a test as follows:
1. Run speedtst.exe with standard CVS fastitem.c
2. Replace fastitem.c with the attached one and
compare the speed.
If you like the speed with the hacked fastitem.c, you may use it.
I've been using it since many years ago with no problem.
