I try to build xindice from cvs-checkout, for win98 this seems (not
surprisingly) to be broken. I'd want to do it in linux too, but I managed to
buy a monitor/graphics adapter combination not supported :-(

ant-bat:
- The current xerces version didn't make it into here.
- The labels checkdbXMLWork and checkdbXML aren't recognized as different (yes,
really!), resulting in an endless loop. A workaround could be to rename
checkdbXMLWork to checkWorkdbXML
- product renaming didn't get through to this yet. (no bug, just to mention)

What was the intention of putting that much "intelligence" in form of
directory-checks into the batchfiles? This isn't done on linux and is mainly an
additional pain when debugging batchfiles.

At the moment, I'm struggling to tell ant that there is a javac. Micheal
(Hearn) how do you build? What modifications did you have to make?

Wouldn't it be better to work with a separate installation of ant?

Tom/Kimbro - I'm willing to help to get the windows build and startup stuff
straight.

So long

Rupert
