Right now we're working on 1.1, which just consists of an XML-RPC API and some internationalization fixes. The XML-RPC API is in scratchpad and Kurt has been working on it lately, after I wrote the initial code. James still has an open patch for the UTF-8 pieces. Helping James make sure things are fully UTF-8 to the lowest levels is something that would be valuable.

I still think Labrador is best for this, but I'll take a look at what's there so far, and give some feedback.

Gianugo and Jan are working on WebDAV and there is code in scratchpad for this too. Overall the list of tasks I have is here http://www.xindice.org/

I'll leave this to them. Not particularly interested in WebDAV.

papers/tasks.html. The obvious place where we could really use your help is still transactions, but I also think full text indexing would be very helpful. Did the code you already had for this get left behind with the company? Anyway,

I can resurrect the fulltext stuff since it was really slated for the Core. Right now, the basic indexing code works as well as a Porter Stemmer. I'll get it checked in this afternoon.

Regarding Transactions, this is definitely something I need to work on, because there is interest by my ultimate employer for this functionality... So I'll try to be underway with it soon.

work on whatever you want of course, these are just the things that I see your abilities being most valuable for. Let me know what tasks you'd like to "own" and I'll update the list. Also let me know if there is anything you want to add.

Another thing that I'd like to explore is *gutting* the XML internals and replacing it with a tokenized pull-stream similar to what I've been working on at XQRL. It will improve overall system performance dramatically. Who knows, maybe they'll even donate their implementation at some point.
