Sorry but this is a no-no-no-no.  If everyone is committing his proprietary
project files, it will be a mess.  Just wait until the JBuilder, Visual
Cafe,
IntelliJ and Visual Age config files are committed too!

the rule is: if YOU want to use an application, fine but keep the
configuration
files locally.  If other users use the same tool, I'm sure they are able to
set
up a configuration file.  If we find an XML beautifier that is Open Source
and
can be run with Ant, I would be more than happy to integrate it into the
build
process.

Furthermore XML Spy is not running on Linux.
