I plan to make some changes to Index Pattern that would allow to specify path to an element/attribute. The path could be relative or absolute. So, instead of pattern "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" one could be using pattern "/doc/node1/node2/[EMAIL PROTECTED]". This would help to build indexes that only include relevant information, reducing index size. Also, it could be helpful in case when content of [EMAIL PROTECTED] has different type depending on its location in a document, for example, some of them contain strings, while others contain integer. Right now this situation is not handled so well, and may result in nodes of a "wrong" type disappearing from result set. Any thoughts?
That sounds great! I suspect implementation of such index would require changes to indexing interfaces, isn't it?
