Hello,
I have just installed xindice, but cannot get startup to work. I am using:
jdk 1.3.1
windows 2000
I installed xindice to c:\xindice
CLASSPATH is ".;c:\xindice\java\lib\xindice.jar"
JAVA_HOME points to the root of my jdk directory
XINDICE_HOME points to "C:\xindice"
PATH contains jdk\bin directory, as well as c:\xindice\bin directory
When I run startup from c:\xindice, I get the following message after
Xindice 1.0 (Birthday):
Database: 'db' initializing
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError
at
org.apache.xindice.xml.dom.DOMParser.getSAXParser(DOMParser.java:233)
at org.apache.xindice.xml.dom.DOMParser.<init>(DOMParser.java:93)

org.apache.xindice.core.SystemCollection.init(SystemCollection.java:153)
at org.apache.xindice.core.Database.setConfig(Database.java:155)

org.apache.xindice.server.services.XindiceService.initialize(XindiceService.

...etc etc (about 8 more lines of stack trace after this)
any clues?
