I just found this project, and am seriously considering using it for xml document storage. It looks like nearly an exact match for one of our current problems.
I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could answer for me. How many documents can xindice handle? 500,000? 1,000,000? 20,000,000 million? Are there any coded limits? How about realistic limits (ignoring disk usage)? I would really like to know if someone has had success with using it with upwards of 20 million xml files. Also, how much compression do you typically get? If you have 100 MB worth of small xml documents, and you enter them all into xindice, how much disk space should I expect the db to take up (with the compression options turned on) I did a quick search over the user and developer lists, but didn't find anything that would give me an idea of an answer for these questions.
