You don't need to add the .class file to the /lib dir.

You yust must do this:

xindiceadmin add_xmlobject -i
org.apache.xindice.examples.HelloWorldXMLObject -n Hello -c /db/addressbook

If you are in the directory where the class file is. (change class name to
yours)
