Although I'm posting this here, I also hope to get the attention of those on the dev-list.

you have their attention (at least mine) :-)

What I would like to know, is what feedback is needed on the current
> development version?

As you may have noticed, a lot of (positive...) things are going on right now for the project. I hope that we will be able to move the project into more successful tracks.

If you have sent mails to the list a few months ago, chances are that they have gone unnoticed. This is the problem with mailing lists: if you don't have the mails on your PC, it's hard to keep track of what's going on. And browsing the archive is not the easiest thing to do.

Since more developers are now involved I would suggest you (and others) to repost your mail. You will hopefully receive a more adequate answer.

If you have found a bug in Xindice, please file a bug report on bugzilla <http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/>. We can then easily keep track of the current issues.

We are rewriting the website and documentation and need howtos. The Tomcat howto is already on Bugzilla and you are welcome to post your own. If you have installed Xindice with Cocoon, Axis or whatever, please provide us with a detailed how-to.

If you have modified Xindice to correct a bug, feel free to send your patch :-)

Should we be asking a general question on the users-list about who is using 1.1-dev and what aspects worked (servlet, used as a library, etc.)?

if the question is about "how to use Xindice", send it to the users-ml. If the question is about "the internal beauty of Xindice" this should definitively be in the dev-ml.

If you're not sure, send to the users-ml (since all developers are (?) subscribed to the users-ml (the opposite is not true, of course). If it's a developer issue (bug, feature), the mail will naturally be echoed on the dev-ml. But do not cross-post (sending to both lists).

hope this help
