There was some discussion about where the Xindice db collection resides for the 1.1 version. It turns out that the collection resides in the WINNT\system32 directory (on Windows/2000 Pro) by default. However, this looks like it can be changed by editing a system.xml file found in the WEB-INF directory of the unpacked Xindice.war file. I am not quite sure how it translates the default ./db/ to C:\WINNT\system32\db, but it does.
