imho you may want to write a bug or two. first bug would
be 'no doc'...
james bates actually has started to document the
embedded mode in his 'internals' guide (dev section)...
so it appears to be IN the release
key questions would be:
(1) who has already tested the code mentioned & how.
(2) are there existing test cases for the code? (or why not)
(3) are there bugs outstanding (ie. what is meant by 'unstable')?
(4) is/are there any committer(s) assigned to this who could provide
support?
other issues mentioned in past:
(1) need to know how to specify db path
(2) X-platform issue (poss only an issue with hardcoded db path)
maybe james could add some insights based upon his travels
through the code ...? anyone?

P.S. correct me if i am wrong but - there ARE still default db location
issues in WEB APP mode ... should i write a bugzilla? if not, can
someone pls let me know howto execute from WAR to a custom .db location
...?
