This is my string, and from everything that i have looked at, including
the examples, I still get a query error.

Please someone help.

String xupdate = "<?xml version=\"" + XMLDBVERSION +"?>" +
               "<xu:modifications version=\"" + XMLDBVERSION + "\" " +
               "xmlns:xu=\"http://www.dbxml.org/xupdate> " +
               "<xu:append select=\"/projects\"> " +
               "<xu:element name=\"project\"> " +
               "<xu:attribute name=\"id\">" + projectID
+ "</xu:attribute>" +
               "<name>" + projectName + "</name>" +
               "<manager>" + projectManager + "</manager> " +
               "<startDate>" + aSimpleDateFormat.format(startDate)
+ "</startDate>" +
               "<endDate>" + aSimpleDateFormat.format(endDate)
+ "</endDate>" +
               "</xu:element>" +
               "</xu:append>" +
               "</xu:modifications>";
