Hello,
I am trying to insert into Xindice
small-size documents (225bytes) and realized that the size of the file ".tbl"
created to hold the xml docs of a specific database is not proportional to
the total size of the inserted documents.
example: insert 1000 documents of 225 bytes each
(total = 0.214 Mbytes) generates a .tbl file of 4.8 Mbytes
?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
whereas insert 100 docs of 155 Kbytes each (total =
15.136 Mbytes) generates a .tbl file of 16.5 Mbytes (much more
reasonnable)
Does anyone have any idea on how Xindice organizes
these xml documents? What is the best size for an xml document to insert in
Xindice and have a good storage management policy?
