Don, have you tried simply with <Uri>xmldb:xindice://test:8080</Uri> ?
But it's strange that is looking for the bootstrap.ior file. If you are using Xindice 1.1 (from Apache CVS), you should also updated the Xindice jar files in XMLdbGUI (under <xmldbgui_home>/lib/xindice). There some documentation on how to do that (docs/HowTo_Use_Xindice1_1.html). If you don't have such file you can download the newer XMLdbGUI version from http://titanium.dstc.edu.au/xml/xmldbgui/ - Andrea > -----Original Message----- > From: Don Saxton [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Thursday, 17 April 2003 5:38 AM > To: xindice-users@xml.apache.org > Subject: Re: Best Client for Viewing/Editing Xindice 1.1? > > mine works locally, but > <Uri>xmldb:xindice://test:8080/Xindice/</Uri> > fails looking for Xindice_bootstrap.ior > > > Don > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Andrea Broglia" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <xindice-users@xml.apache.org>; "'Mark R.
