I've found that access times for adding documents in Xindice seems to be fairly constant regardless of the overall
resource count of the collection (at least until it falls over at only 100000 resources!),
while eXist has longer and longer access times as the resource count increases.
This may be a result of the default "index-everything" setting that eXist uses...

to our xindice community,
its interesting to hear people giving the following arguments against xindice when compared with exist: 1. do not handle very large ducuments very well. 2. no development work since last Nov.?
For 2, it is obivous not ture. xindice 1.1-dev was just been officially released last month. But what actually has be done since last Nov.?
I guess 1.1-dev has only minor changes over 1.1b2. correct? is there any changes contributed to reliability or perfomance?
for 1, how large/small are documents that can be handled well by xindice?
My last question: supporting XUpdate and well-integration with apache web application server are two obvious advanteges that xindice have. any other pros?
Looking forward to your input.
