Interesting. I just tried to run Xindice 1.1 under Tomcat 6.0.18 and it did not have problems with permissions. For some reason the version of Tomcat that you have starts with security manager... Do you know the exact version of Tomcat installed? How do you start it? Also, can you please tell me what OS you use? Regards, Natalia
