No, no plans.
Why do you need to store files inside a db ?
Easy to manage, scalable, easy to made web interface (more than socket connexion).
Able to do fast import / export tools
Load Balancing Smtp / Pop (replication of user db)
Synchronization with other tools
Here is some point where a db is more interresting to use for a mail server.

Yes You can, even if configuring smtp auth is not a big deal for users.

Like 4000 users pop3 ...
The problem is that's user is not on our lan or network but on multiple network.
Seems the only way is to to smtp auth ?
