This
is an issue with win95... Not really a server os.
Windows 95 will hang after 49.7 days (if not sooner ;-) (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q216/6/41.asp)
If
you're not using Win9x (desktop OS's), but WinNT 4 or Win2k (Server or Pro) and
you're not using it as a desktop (installing screensavers, seti@home, icq, etc.) and you have decent hardware
and you know what you're doing there's no need to reboot for
months...
(I'm
using Win2k and Linux both as a server; they both have pro's and cons, so please
don't take this as a M$ ad ;-)
As for
xmail on win2k: once we used it to send 100+ visitors an email with an
2MB attachment (on request of course ;-)... Xmail handled it perfectly: the only
'errors' came from recipients with a Hotmail account (max 1MB message
size)
HTH,
Paul
