I had thought of that - it just struck me that the domain.tab mechanism in
the custdomains/filters directories is such an excellent way of doing
things that a similar mechanism for 'FROM' addresses in the envelope would
work well, and also minimise the impact of any errors in the script to a
single domain/person (not that my perl ever has errors of course...)

You can use a wildcard filter and test on the from address.
Just create a .tab file in filters. It wil be run for all domains that do
not have their own domain filter. Therefor if you want to run it always,
add
the same script you are calling to every other filter file.
