hi,

i suggested to change the filtering in that way, that the filter would be
executed in the last step (if mail will be dropped into local mailbox or
will be redirected to _external_ account (to avoid that the filter would be
executed 2 or more times).

why should that bloat the code? i think you just have to add the filter code
at another place?

would not be affected.

would not be affected.

would not be affected, the filter would be improved, cause there must be no
filter.tab for aliasdomains!

would not be affected, but would have a better filtering because aliases
would be filtered, too.

i think, a postmaster@* aliases is not very uncommonly.

So, i see no disadvantages, if you change the code like that. You wrote,
that you maybe would add an filter command to mailproc, i think that would
be unnecessarly, wouldn't it?

None of the XMail users would be infected by such a change, but the
filtering would be improved highly.

if i have a filter on my pop3 account and some aliases for that - why
shouldn't the aliases be filtered with the same filter, too?

the same for domains and aliasdomains.

please tell me why this would be an disadvantage to xmail. (if its really
bloats the code (i dont understand c/c++ as well as you), then it's ok, but
then a filter-mproc command would be nice :-)).

ps: as i said a little time before, i dont want to nerv you, xmail ist
great, i just want to help to improve it in the details.

greets soenke.
