I think its sorted folks, it was'nt just that account, its just that no-one
else noticed...

ok, I've check all this out, I used the ctrl protocol via XMail
administrator,
and I restarted the service just for the hell of it, and still no
improvement. 
The emails have started bouncing back into the account when they are sent,
with "maximum number of tenatives reached". Which would suggest that
this account and this account alone cant send mail, and seems to
be invisible to the outside world (mails sent to the account just
dissapear).
It can send to itself though.
