sounds interesting... but why are you "not comfortable" with the idea of having perl installed in a production environment? i wrote my own listserv, using perl (its running in our production linux box) and our dev m$ wintel box, and not only is it fast but completely stable. also i noticed your released your tools using the gnu gpl license... well you can't really distribute the source for windows scripting host or other dependancies... which is required in the gpl license. I also followed the brief thread on the XML config. files... I fielded that issue last year... and after a few go-arounds with Davide, the conclusion was that XML does indeed have a bit too much overhead... as xalan (apache's parser) carries a rather large footprint and well... msxml isn't an option (as its completely unstable -- and has a questionable implementation of xml standards [try playing with internal dtd's and establishing entity references]). ../dave >> - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
