Greetings,

I am curious if it's possible to set XMail so that it will reject mail
addressed to particular users at the RCPT TO: option in an SMTP session -
while still maintaining a * alias for mail which is not addressed to any
particular user.

For example, lets say that I have an e-mail address "[EMAIL PROTECTED]". I
*never* want to receive mail addressed to this box, and would like for mail
so addressed to be rejected as invalid user (ie. with an SMTP error
message). However, I want to receive other mail that is addressed to, for
instance, "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" using the * alias.

Is there a way to flag particular addresses as invalid *other* than through
the use of filters (which cause the mail to be accepted during the SMTP
session then later rejected by the filter, with an error report sent back
by postmaster)?

I do not mind setting up mailboxes for these invalid addresses, if I can
mark the addresses as invalid by doing so.

I'll take any suggestions.

Tracy
