Hi,

I am having a strange problem with my mailproc.tab file.
I am running Xmail 1.9 on a Win2000 machine.

To make a simple test I made the file look like this:

"mailbox"
"external" "0" "0" "C:\WINNT\system32\notepad.exe" "@@TMPFILE"

The problem is, notepad never opens up. I do however get the temp file in
my C:\temp

The TABs are in the right places, there is also a newline at the end of the
file.

I also tried this: "external" "0" "0" "C:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe"

Then I used FileMon(itor) tool to make sure that Xmail does indeed read my
mailproc.tab file.
That being the case, the "external" program still does not run.

My original file looked like this, and it used to work with Xmail 1.3:
"mailbox"
"external" "0" "0" "C:\WINNT\system32\cscript.exe //T:120 //B"
"C:\MailRoot\bin\autoreply.js" "@@RCPT" "@@FROM" "@@TMPFILE"

It stopped working once I changed permissions on all Xmail files and
upgraded to 1.8.
I have since rebuilt the machine from scratch and installed 1.9. But I am
still having the same problem.

What could be wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Peter
