PdB,

I assume a config problem between X-mail and Xchange.

How did you configure your X-mail - Xchange server ??
You can create a mail loop if you'd instruct following:
-> inbound mail
-> (X-mail) [EMAIL PROTECTED] (local)
-> (X-mail) fwd to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (exception)
-> (X-mail) outbound to IP of Xchange.
-> (Xchange) [EMAIL PROTECTED] (not local)
-> (Xchange) gateway for sub.domain.com (outbound message) to IP of X-mail
-> (X-mail) [EMAIL PROTECTED] (not to be treated locally so forward)
-> (X-mail) hey ! I already saw this message -> MAIL LOOP

You will have to configure your Xchange server so that mail for the
sub.domain.com has to be treated locally.

Good luck,

I keep getting a loop detection notification only when receiving messages
from this mailing list. Anyone know why? Attached is a common
notification.

Thanks,

PdB
