Quick question for the group: Are there any log files to check when xmail goes down?
This is what happened. Yesterday, I got a report of email accounts being down. I checked the server, all xmail processes were still running but there seemed to be some difficulty connecting through the webmail engine as well as the pop and smtp servers directly. I'm wondering how xmail ties in with the system logs. I could not find any messages in the syslog or messages. I'm using an array of switches to log lmail, pop3, smail and smtp. But are they switches specifically designed to log program messages, ie. crashes or other programs the daemon may run into? Thanks.
