Hi Beau
I tried to ping, telnet(Port 25) and traceroute to your domain mail.beaucox.com and IP 207.175.219.202 but i became no answer. Have you enabled the firewall on your external Suse-Box? Then you should look at=20 the forewall/logs. It seems to me that: =20 your External Box is not Online or the firewall blooks all access. I am running SuSE 8.0 Linux to host XMail (on ip 10.0.0.4). My domain is registered on another SuSE 8.0 Linux box with an external interface. Bind (9.2.1) seems to be working fine. If I ping "mail.mydomain.com" bind directs it to my XMail box via my internal network (ip 10.0.0.4). However: telnet mail.mydomain.com 25 - fails: Connection refused telnet 10.0.0.4 25 - fails: Connection refused telnet 127.0.0.1 25 - OK telnet localhost 25 - OK Tring to send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] gives something like: in messages - XMail[pid]: Socket bind error in mail - Oct 9 15:38:38 TOMOKO sendmail[13902]: g9A1ccGn013902: from=3D<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, size=3D935, class=3D0, nrcpts=3D1, proto=3DESMTP, daemon=3DDaemon0, relay=3Dlocalhost [127.0.0.1] Oct 9 15:38:38 TOMOKO sendmail-client[13898]: g986lnnv026185: = to=3Droot, ctladdr=3Droot (0/0), delay=3D1+18:50:49, xdelay=3D00:00:00, = mailer=3Drelay, pri=3D7770051, relay=3Dlocalhost.beaucox.com. I think bind is OK. There is _nothing_ in the MailRoot log/spool/mailbox areas. Do I have an authorization problem? What "real" user does XMail use? Sorry for rambling, I'm tired, got a deadline, etc, etc. Aloha =3D> Beau. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
