hello all, i have a bit of a problem with mx records on my linux machine. it seems that xmail can't deliver mails to domains in which the mailhandler isn't in the same domain. examples are: rieter.com and newtag.ch. here some nslookup results on these two domains:
newtag.ch MX preference = 0, mail exchanger = mail.redwin.ch newtag.ch MX preference = 5, mail exchanger = smtp.ip-plus.net newtag.ch nameserver = ns3.zoneedit.com newtag.ch nameserver = ns4.zoneedit.com rieter.com MX preference = 20, mail exchanger = chwier-gate01.rieter.com rieter.com MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = chwier-gate02.rieter.com rieter.com nameserver = ns.eds.ch rieter.com nameserver = ns1.eds.ch chwier-gate01.rieter.com internet address = 194.209.125.184 chwier-gate02.rieter.com internet address = 194.209.125.185 ns.eds.ch internet address = 194.235.48.31 ns.eds.ch internet address = 206.122.128.133 ns1.eds.ch internet address = 194.235.48.8 ns1.eds.ch internet address = 206.122.128.135 anybody a hint for me? do i need a nameserver on the machine? what else? any help greatly appreciated! stefan - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
