hello!

thank you all for the input! here again a short description of my problem:

i am having problems to send emails to the two mentioned domains
(rieter.com and newtag.ch). the mails come back to the sender with an
error message along these lines:
mail delivery failed after 20 attempts...

it somehow seems to be a dns problem. i am only experiencing this
problem with domains whos mailserver isn't in the same domain. an
example of a domain that works is sichtwerk.com (mailserver is
mail.sichtwerk.com).

i was able to "solve" the problem by adding the mail servers of these
domains to the smtpfwd.tab. this can't be the solution.

let me also tell you that i am relativly new to the subject! e.g. i am
not very experienced with dns, mx and smtp itself.

thank you again for your help!

greetings from switzerland,
stefan
