yes, I had also tried nslookup on the mail server.

  >nslookup
  Default Server: localhost
  Address: 127.0.0.1
  > server server
  Default Server: server.mywork.local
  Address: 192.168.0.1
  > set type=MX
  > wirelessip.com.au
  Server: server.mywork.local
  Address: 192.168.0.1

  wirelessip.com.au MX preference = 10, mail exchanger =
mail.wirelessip.com.au
  mail.wirelessip.com.au internet address = 202.160.156.10

hence I thought that the DNS MX was all ok, but now that I've started
looking with www.dnsreport.com ... I'm not so sure.

but I'm also not sure I trust www.dnsreport.com 100% ..... try sticking
steelbytes.no-ip.com into it, and it wont bring up anything. but the
address does work ! (try it in your browser)
