Well,  you  could switch to .net then and use pop3 and smtp components
from http://www.softartisans.com/softartisans/pop3.html -
     http://www.softartisans.com/softartisans/smtpmailfree.html
     says they're free anyway -

Or you could use PerlScript in ASP and a Perl POP and SMTP component -
that would be free and works very nicely.
