Because we love xmail and we want it to be best of the best :).

This is OK by me, one little extra question, I assume that cfgfileset
is storing the incoming file in a temp area ( mem of temp file) and the
comit the change atomically when is ready to replace it, asking just to
be on the safe side, I'm sure that you're doing that way ;)?

While a nice addition to have it ( like the ones in mailproc.tab or
custom domains) besides the global value ( BTW is -QT <value> and it
defaults to 90 sec for the people that search mail list archive), the
timeout value is not that important.
More important is failure treatment, some filters are VERY important,
like virus scanners ( that HAVE a tendency to crash :( ) and archivers
and letting a message pass without processing is a no-no, some other are
not that important and need for a timely delivery of the message may
force the sysadmin override that ( for example when a remotely
spamfilter engine is not responding). So is there a way to configure the
behaviour of the server when a filter dies ot time-outs at least
globally and can you consider adding that option on a per filter case ??
