So basically not a xmail problem... Can't you use the filter architecure provided in xmail ... This would solve all mathers. Xmail gets (and accepts) only mail for accepted domains (closed relay). This mail is checked on various criteria trough filters. If a msg = ok xmail sends it to the destination mailserver or mailbox. When the filter-app resides on an other machine, 'scope' might provide this mechanism. Let xmail handle all incomming-outgoing trafic with spam filters, AV etc etc. It has been used by many that way.
