I believe that the xmail software should be kept 'lean and mean'. The 
only thing that should really be tampered with is perhaps the ability to 
enhance the use of 'filters', then ideally anyone can just add the 
modules that they want. Perhaps define a standard mechanism for 
managing filters and extensions?..then only those that are required by 
a specific user get added to the installation.

I believe that it makes much more sense to do it that way!

By the way - by far the most versatile piece of mail software that I've 
used to date!
