Greetings, I've been poking around in the code a little, and I would like to see if I understand the current checks that are enabled by the CheckMailerDomain flag in server.tab.
As I understand it, the parameter to HELO/EHLO is treated as a domain name, and an MX lookup is done on that domain. If *any* MX record is returned, processing continues. If *no* MX records are returned, then an A lookup is done. If an A record is found, processing continues, otherwise we get the ENODNS error. Is that a fully accurate summation of the checking that CheckMailerDomain controls? (If so, I have some suggestions for future versions - but I don't want to advance them until I am sure I understand what is done so far...)
