Hi! my xmail-server is having problems delivering mails that exceed the mail limit of the destination server. i see from the logs that the mail is actually processed but it doesn't occur in the smail logs and is not delivered.
here's an example sniff of such a too large mail delivery: 220 mailserver ESMTP Postfix on SuSE Linux 7.3 (i386) //postfix destination server speaking EHLO xmail //xmail speaking 250-mailserver //postfix destination server speaking 250-PIPELINING //postfix destination server speaking 250-SIZE 10240000 //postfix destination server speaking 250-ETRN //postfix destiantion server speaking 250 8BITMIME //postfix destination server speaking QUIT //xmail speaking 221 Bye //postfix destination server speaking so the destination server postfix has a 10MB limit, BUT xmail just says quit and *DELETES* the mail, i can't locate it anywhere in the spool directory, nor does the postmaster or the sender get a delivery failure message. basically the mail is lost without anyone recognizing it. "RemoveSpoolErrors" "0" ....in my server.tab is active. the delivery of that large e-mail TO xmail seams perfectly OK to me, and finishes with: 250 OK <SC4> QUIT 221 [XMail 1.15 (Win32/Ix86) ESMTP Server] service closing transmission channel xmail is being used as a relay here, but i guess that doesn't matter. any help is appreciated, thx, Tim Christensen - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
