Yes I was throughing text files in there like with iis smtp but the format
must be differant becuause they went somewhere into oblivion?

Yes, spool/local but read the docs on how to use it. You have to first
create the message somewhere else and then move it to spool/local. Oh,
and the format is different than for IIS SMTP service.
