HI ...

This looks like a threading problem to me.

Add the following line to your XMail startup script, usually located in
/etc/init.d/xmail :

export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=3D2.4.1

This forces the kernel to use the older standard threading scheme.
Restart XMail after this modification.
