I believe an upgrade would be better. They started putting the libgcc 
thing inside gcc in 2.96 ahead, I belive. So a downgrade might not be 
suggested.

Hmmm, if you guys drop tons of stuff inside the filters files maybe the 
architecture will have to change again :-/
How many effective filter hits come out from the filters section on 
average?
