Config: Server 1 RH 8.0 xmail 1.17 SA 2.61 CLAM sa_filter (not being used) checkvirus filter 3 domains
Server 2 RH 8.0 xmail 1.17 custom domains with smtp relay for only the 3 domains on Server 1 Issue: Server 1 works fine for sending mail. Usually works fine for receiving = but for some reason some messages still come to Server 2. =20 Problem 1 when this happens: When this happens, the messages are then sent to Server 1 for delivery but = the headers show them coming from server 2. =20 Problem 2 when this happens: If the recipient doesn't exist (previous user) on Server 1 (where the = domains sit) it becomes frozen on Server 2 until I clear them. Problem 3 when this happens: If the message has a virus infected attachment it is then delivered to the = user (who is only attaching to Server 1 because it sits on the lan with = only internal DNS pointing to it) with the virus. The anti-virus does NOT = catch the virus. If the message comes to Server 1 (without any contact = with Server 2) the virus is caught by CLAM. Why do the messages for dead accounts get pushed to Server 2? Why would Server 1 not catch the virus if the message comes to Server 1 = via Server 2? Any thoughts?
