Very interesting.

I have actually started developing a project that does something very
similar.  I'm creating pass through server that marks spam, but doesn't
deliver it.  It's user-configurable with virus scanning, lots of reporting,
full-blown database (using dimensional modeling techniques), etc.  ASSP's
list of features is similar to what I'm planning.  It won't be a free thing
though.

Contrary to Tracy, I've had some good luck with MTA-level Bayesian filtering
with limited user-level overrides.
