Davide, here is the translation (not a 'strict' english ...) :

(About How to run multiple xmail services instances on a single w2k server)

I don't really remember how to, I did an temporary multi xmail services
install some time, but in the changelog there is :

XMail now uses the name of the executable ( without .exe ) to both register
the service name and fetch registry variables.

So, as an example, for two xmail instances : xmail1 and xmail2

- Create two mailroot structures (must be different, can't be shared)
- Copy original xmail.exe in xmail1.exe and xmail2.exe
- Install first xmail as a service (xmail1 --install ou xmail1
--install-auto ...)
- IN ANY CASES, VERIFY IN THE REGISTRY THE SERVICE NAME USED !! (rename it
if curreltly 'xmail')
- Install second (xmail 2 --install ou xmail2 --install-auto)
- Create the following registry keys :
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GNU\XMail1
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GNU\XMail2
- Create in each of them values MAIL_ROOT and MAIL_CMD_LINE with values
needed (for each xmail his directory, its own ips and/or ports
smtp/pop3/ctrl/finger/... nomber of threads ;-) ...)

- Start first instance xmail1 and test it, just to verify it point to the
good directory(the simplest way is to empty directories tabindex for each
xmail, as indexes are created at each start, so easy to see changes ... or
si if log giles change as mail come in)
- Do same think for service xmail2

Theoricaly it must be ok, I did it one time after version 1.16 was produced
(first release that can do this)

Hopping this help you ...
