Never see truncated messages by xmail
Except for xmail 1.18 beta ...
And the headers presented say you use xmail 1.17 ...
The headers say, after xmail received the mail, you use fetchmail on
london.faceless.org :
> Received: from big.faceless.org [207.36.86.209]
> by localhost with POP3 (fetchmail-6.2.0)
> for [EMAIL PROTECTED] (single-drop); Thu, 22 Apr 2004
> 04:34:05 +0100 (BST)
then mail go in sendmail on london.faceless.org :
> Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1])
> by london.faceless.org (8.12.8/8.12.8) with ESMTP id
> i3M3Y4Vh018340
> for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 22 Apr 2004 04:34:05 +0100
Did all truncated go that way ?
To be sure it is/isn't a xmail problem or xmail server problem (network
problem on long sessions, ...), simply try this :
1 - temporary stop your fetchmail program to prevent it collect mails from
the xmail server
2 - temporary remove any xmail filters
2 - ask 'the guy' to send another time the 'problematic' mail
3 - after xmail receive the mail, go into your user dir in xmail
(XMAILROOT/domains/YOURDOMAIN/YOURACCOUNT/mailbox/)
4 - manually open the mail with a text editor and see if it is complete here
!!
Results :
- If mail is not complete here .... try upgrading to last xmail (1.18) and
redo the test
- If mail is ok in xmail mailbox, finally try to fecth it with a 'regular'
mua (like pine, ...) to see if received correct
If finally correct, your problem is on fetchmail/sendmail server or
network problems ...
do you have logs on fechmail and sendmail about the final message size
to compare with ?
Hope this will help ...
