Yes thats true for all that you said.. I just have a hard time tracking down
old emails sometimes. Time consuming.

Are you sure that that is a good idea?
Subject lines can contain characters you cannot use in a filename, they
can be very long and what if you receive mails with a duplicate subject
line?

I think its good to use a unique identifier as filename.
