The 220 greeting is received and also \r\n.
If you want I can send you a log from the server in question and the
modified SMTPUtils.cpp used to print it.

Does XMail receive the 220 greeting? Or you saw it on the wire? Did it=20
have the final \r\n (even a single \n is enough for XMail)?
