If you have it set to start as a service, add the following information to  
the registry:

HKLM\Software\GNU\Xmail

New string value:
  Value: MAIL_CMD_LINE
  Value data: -Sl (lowercase L)

See readme.html in your Xmail installation folder for more options like  
this :)
