I strongly recommend against this. If the filter is being used to block 
spam and viruses, please be aware that the putative sender in most of these 
cases is forged - and the person who receives your "notifications" will not 
be the person who sent the mail. Given that, the odds are that the person 
receiving your mail would consider such notifications as spam, and that 
could lead to having your address added to local blocking or even inclusion 
in DNSBLs.

Whenever possible, reject during the protocol session. If you can't do 
that, then either silently discard the mail - or if you think that's too 
risky, quarantine it so that you can manually review it and pass along 
those items which are appropriate.
