Well, if the mailbox file is composed by a '.' followed by 200K '\0', XMail sends the file as-is, the remote POP3 client sees a '.' and thinks it's the End Of Message, XMail tries to send the remaining 200K '\0', its socket send buffers gets full, the remote POP3 client tries to send another command while XMail is still stuck in sending the 200K '\0'.
