Something along these lines is mentioned (I think it is some thing like "Hi
scores are temporarily broken, while we rearrange") in one of the recent release
notes from Nicola and the core team.
Thus I think it's a known bug caused temporarily by some form of
restructuring...

I've noticed that high score files are not being read in or being
saved in 0.36b14.1 (Irix 6.3). Has anyone else seen this problem
yet? There's been no mention of it here on the list.
